Webinar hosted by the University of Belgrade<\/h2>\n

Within the framework of the Project BENEFIT, the webinar on \u201cStudying telecommunications engineering\u201d at the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade was held on\u00a0October 13th, 2020, from 12 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. fully online, hosted by University of Belgrade – School of Electrical Engineering. All project partners and students were invited to participate and distribute information about the webinar. Participants had possibility to register and participate online using Cisco Webex Collaboration tool.<\/p>\n

The webinar was devoted to the studying telecommunications engineering at the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade (UB-ETF). The recording is online available here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

ERK 2020<\/h2>\n

On 22 September 2020, Project BENEFIT dissemination activities were organized Within ERK 2020 program. In particular, BENEFIT contributions consisted of 9 conference papers available in the proceedings online. Each paper was presented within 15 minutes slot. Presentations were followed with discussions. Due to pandemic, the event was held in hybrid mode, in person for local participants and virtual for the international participants.<\/p>\n

Teacher training seminar on “Designing a Course for Stimulating Entrepreneurship in Higher Education”<\/h2>\n

Due to COVID-19 restrictions the last BENEFIT teacher training was organized in a hybrid format in order to minimize risk related to planning, physical gatherings and traveling:<\/p>\n

<\/h2>\n

1.) an online webinar<\/strong> to introduce the theoretical aspects on July 15-16, 2020;<\/p>\n

<\/h2>\n

2.) and a physical face-to-face workshop<\/strong> on September 23-25, 2020, with practical exercises to apply the content from the webinar.<\/p>\n

The topic of the whole compendium was “Designing a Course for Stimulating Entrepreneurship in Higher Education<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n

Teacher Training in Ni\u0161, Sept. 2020<\/h2>\n

The teacher training seminar “Role of software in education, research and practice” was held on the 7th and 8th of September at Faculty of Electronic Engineering, University of Nis. Agenda and topics covered can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Training Workshop in Osijek, Febr. 2020<\/h2>\n

On February 12 and 13, 2020, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology of the University of Osijek hosted a professional teacher training workshop about ICT teaching practices. During the two day event teachers were able to learn and put their hands on innovative teaching tools such as the MikroTik academy program and the DRIVE project with its master program.<\/p>\n

The Event was organized by The Ministry of Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society of the Republic of Srpska on 28-29 November 2019. With the aim of popularizing science, the University of Banja Luka also presented the project BENEFIT.<\/p>\n

The 14th International Conference on Advanced Technologies, Systems and Services in Telecommunications<\/em> – TELSIKS 2019 was held at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering on 23. – 25. October. Simultaneously, the Forum of Advance technology was held in organization of Chamber of Commers and NiCAT cluster. During these events, dissemination activities involving the Project BENEFIT were carried out.<\/p>\n

Ericsson Nikola Tesla Summer Camp 2019 Closing Day – Open Event<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The Ericsson Nikola Tesla Summer Camp Closing Day is an open event organized at the end of Ericsson Nikola Tesla (ENT) Summer Camp, a workshop that ENT is organizing annually during five weeks of the academic summer break. The main goal of the Summer Camp workshop is for students to work on projects in teams, solving real industrial problems in an industrial environment.<\/p>\n

On October 4, 2019, the closing of Summer Camp was marked with day-long activities in the ENT company premises, including poster presentations, demo sessions, and closing ceremony. Along with numerous students and mentors who participated in Summer Camp activities, many representatives of the academia were present at the Camp\u2019s official closing ceremony, together with the employees of Ericsson Nikola Tesla. The event was endorsed by Gordana Kova\u010devi\u0107, the president of the Ericsson Nikola Tesla company, who emphasized the importance of cooperation between industry and academia. Professor Darko Huljeni\u0107 used this opportunity to present the project BENEFIT during his presentation and to emphasize the collaboration with project academic partners in ENT Summer Camp 2019. Training Workshop in Ljubljana, Sept. 2019<\/h2>\n

Erasmus+ BENEFIT workshop on new teaching methodologies and instructional approaches in ICT engineering education with emphasis on learning outcomes and competence development for engineering profession was held at University of Ljubljana on the 25th and 26th of September 2019. Within the framework of the Project BENEFIT, the Webinar \u201cStudy Programs of Telecommunications\u201d was held on\u00a0September 5th\u00a02019, from 12 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, University of Ni\u0161.<\/p>\n

All project partners and students were invited to participate and distribute information about the webinar. Participants had possibility to participate online or at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering.<\/p>\n

The webinar was devoted to the Telecommunication study programs at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, University of Ni\u0161 (FEE-UNI).<\/p>\n

Workshop in Klagenfurt<\/h2>\n

Within the framework of BENEFIT and the ERASMUS+ KA2 projects , the week of July 8-12, 2019 has been devoted to training activities aiming to improve teaching skills in the respective sectors.<\/p>\n

Workshop took place in Klagenfurt, in particular the days 10-11 of July were planned for BENEFIT training, jointly with SGT-MAP partners.<\/p>\n

Panel Conference in Sarajevo<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

A panel conference \u201cImproving cooperation between the industry and academia in telecommunications\u201d was organized by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo on 12 June 2019. It brought together lecturers from the industrial sector and academia from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region with the aim of presenting, identifying and defining ways of strengthening industrial-university cooperation in the field of telecommunications.<\/p>\n

The conference was organized within Erasmus+ project \u201cStrengthening the profiles of telecommunications engineers in order to meet the needs of modern society and industry\u201d – BENEFIT funded by the European Union, and that representatives of telecom operators and faculty of telecommunications from the region took part in the conference.<\/p>\n

InTsikt 2019 in Tuzla<\/h2>\n

InTsikt is an annual event with a focus on latest achievements in information and communication technologies. It is plenary organized and focused on knowledge and experience exchange between academia and industry. The topic of InTsikt 2019 was \u201cCareer Opportunities in Information Communication Technology Engineering\u201d. InTsikt is prepared and organized by Faculty of Electrical Engineering Tuzla, Faculty of Electrical Engineering Ljubljana and BIT Center Tuzla, and technically sponsored by IEEE Section of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Total number of participants at InTsikt 2019 is 65.<\/p>\n
